How to remove and diagnose a Cooling Deck on your HY 900/2100 Vending Machine

Reach into the machine to check the compressor
1. It should be vibrating if the compressor is on
2. If it is not vibrating, the compressor is most likely blown, follow these next steps to remove it
Power the Machine down
Pull the Compression Unit out
1. Unplug the 3 wires: the main power wire, the relay wire, and the main temperature wire
2. Push them through the fire wall so they are out of the way
3. Remove the two screws
If the bracket at the top is plastic it should slide right out now
If it is a metal bracket, you have to remove the cone before you can take the deck out
1. You remove it by unscrewing the metal cone
To remove the deck, unscrew the two screws on the sides, then grip the bracket behind the deck to remove it
With the deck removed you can see what specifically is not working on the deck
1. It could be the compressor, the fans, or the coolant
2. You can plug it in outside the machine to examine more closely what is not working
If the fans are not working you can remove and replace them directly on the refrigeration deck
You have to have a license if the compressor is broken, so you will have to get a professional
How to put the deck back into the machine
1. Make sure your wires are still out of the way
2. It will slide right back in
3. Screw the deck back into place
4. If your machine has the metal bracket make sure to screw it back in
5. Pull the 3 wires back through and plug them in
